How we Protect and Respect Data

This page explains how the ('Beach House') website uses any information you give us, and the ways in which we protect your privacy.

The Data Protection Act

Under the Data Protection Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. We use leading technologies and encryption software to safeguard your data, and keep strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to it. We do not pass on your details to any third party unless you give us permission to do so.

What Information Do We Collect?

We collect two kinds of information from visitors to the Beach House website: feedback (through e-mails and forms) and site usage information, from log files.

1. Feedback

You can send us your feedback by comments and questions to Beach House, sent by completing an online form, e-mail, phone or post.

The system will record your e-mail address and other information if volunteered to us by you. This shall be treated as proprietary and confidential.

2. Site Usage Information

  • Log Files allow us to record visitors' use of the site. We analyse log file information from all our visitors, which we use to make changes to the layout of the site and to the information in it, based on the way that visitors move around it. Log files do not contain any personal information.
  • Cookies also allow us to record visitors' use of the site. When you visit Beach House, we use the Google Analytics service (as do many thousands of other sites) which places a cookie on your computer. A cookie is a small file that uniquely identifies your browser. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate privacy options on your browser, and continue to use the Beach House website.

What Happens When I Link to Another Site?

The Beach House website contains links to other sites. This privacy policy applies only to our site, so you should always be aware when you are moving to another site and read the privacy statement of any site which collects personal information.

We do not pass on any personal information you have given us to any other site.
